Join us as we welcome author and Seed + Mill founder Rachel Simons—Sofra’s dear friend—to celebrate her new cookbook, SESAME!

Rachel and her partners launched Seed + Mill with the goal of bringing tahini and halva into the spotlight, highlighting their incredible taste, nutrition, and versatility. In SESAME, Rachel shares a diverse selection of delicious recipes that showcase sesame in its three most common forms: sees, oil, and tahini.

During the event, Rachel will demonstrate how to make a pistachio feta dip and tahini lime broccoli salad, share her journey of building Seed + Mill, discuss her passion for feeding people and fostering human connection, and her love letter to the seed that started it all.

Then, enjoy a buffet-style tasting featuring recipes from SESAME, prepared by the chefs at Sofra:  carrot tahini dip, sesame focaccia, tahini lime broccoli salad, a hearty bowl of ancient grains, roasted radishes, and sweets including halva cakes, chocolate tahini tarts, and thumbprint cookies. Your ticket includes a signed copy of SESAME and a bottle of Seed + Mill tahini!
